Gas prices rising rapidly, Sl prices draw near state average

While Storm Lake pump prices generally run far below state average, local gas prices this season are rising rapidly to draw close to the state numbers. Most Storm Lake stations were at $2.49 to begin the week, after bottoming out around $1.89 earlier this season. Statewide, gas prices have risen 9.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.55. That’s 30.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, but still 5.7 cents per gallon higher than a year ago...
