Ammonia leak evacuates Aurelia (Local News ~ 09/26/18)
An anhydrous ammonia leak from a 30,000 gallon tank at First Cooperative Association in Aurelia, detected at about 10 a.m. Monday, forced an evacuation of the town for about seven hours. A faulty valve broke causing the leak of ammonia from the tank, which was about 80 percent full at the time.
