Arthur Hammen, age 83, of Fonda, died on Friday, January 3, at his home in Fonda. Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 7, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Fonda. Edith (Romine) Humes was born June 4, 1918 in Galva, Iowa as the first born child of Lester and Anna (Sievert) Romine. 2 injuries as car hits vehicles, building

A Storm Lake woman was hospitalized after a suspected medical emergency while driving led to a three-car accident with a vehicle crashing into the Mutt Cuts building in the 500 block of Cayuga Street. Storm Lake Police responded to the accident Tuesday shortly after 11 a.m. Officers found Trisha Boger, age 50, unresponsive in one of the vehicles. They extricated Boger and initiated CPR. Paramedics transported Boger to the hospital by ambulance, her current was not available at press time. ...
