A Storm Lake man was found dead in a wheelchair in Des Moines last Friday, his body abandoned in a Quik Trip convenience store parking lot. On Saturday, senator and presidential candidate Kamala Harris will join striking Iowa McDonald’s workers in a show of support for workers in the Fight for $15, Harris’ campaign told the Pilot-Tribune. Harris - herself a former McDonald’s worker - will walk the strike line with cooks and cashiers from Cedar Rapids and Des Moines who are demanding $15 an hour and union rights.
