On the evening of Wednesday, September 26 at approximately 6:20PM, SLPD Officers were called to 1726 East Milwaukee Avenue for a report of a woman outside an apartment screaming and yelling. When officers arrived they spoke with the caller who advised that the suspect had left the area. Officers identified the suspect as, Melinda Smith, age 37, of Storm Lake. Smith was located at her residence at 1804 E Milwaukee Avenue apartment #131. Smith was taken into custody and charged with Disorderly Conduct, a simple misdemeanor. She was transported to the Buena Vista County Jail where she was booked and held on $300 bond.. ...
