Historic Arnolds Park announces new ride for this summer

Arnolds Park Amusement Park announced recently the addition of a new ride this summer. Through a generous donation from two donors, the northwest Iowa amusement park will have a new 36 ft. 2018 carousel made by Chance Rides in Wichita, KS. The new ride will be 8 feet larger than the current carousel that the park has and will be housed in a gazebo that can be closed in the winter to protect the ride from the elements... -

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA On Thursday, April 5, at 10:30 a.m. the Storm Lake Police Department made an arrest in connection with the sale of illegal drugs in the city. Police responded to 519 College Street Thursday morning where they located and arrested Jose Cortez, age 18 of Storm Lake. Cortez was arrested in connection with the alleged sale of marijuana in March of 2018 during a controlled buy by the SLPD.
