3-year-old preschool funded
Alta-Aurelia School District has used some of its COVID-19 funding to start a three-year-old preschool program. The development was one the district had already hoped to pursue, and should prove a benefit to the community, Superintendent William Walters said this week.
The district’s facilities board will be involved as the district determines how to use the remaining funds.
Also at this week’s meeting, the school board approved an upcoming field trip to the Omaha Zoo, and discussed planning for a second participant-funded trip for older students to Washington, D.C.
