Six-home development proposed for Cyclone Drive
Joe Aube and Evan Grieme would like to partner up and purchase the last six lots in Cyclone Drive and get houses built. They offered $87,000 total for the six lots, based on what Grieme paid for a lot in the area recently. The project was addressed at a recent city council meeting.
The area is in the city’s Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district, so there is a legal process that the city would need to follow for the lots to be sold, according to city officials. Delay is something of an issue for the developers, but the city feels that closing on the land could be done in 2022. City Clerk Megan Peterson said city government will dig into the process to make sure it is done correctly. “The City will try to push it along as quickly as we can,” she said.
