STUDENTS SPEAK FOR iJAG AT CAPITOL

Friday, February 26, 2021

Four Storm Lake High School 10-12 grade iJAG (Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates) students traveled to the Capitol Building in Des Moines recently. Students spent the day touring the capitol, walking in the underground tunnels, listening to Governor Reynolds speak about her support for iJAG, speaking with legislators, and sharing what iJAG has done for our lives. Students are asking legislators to continue supporting iJAG by increasing the budget to $5 million in order to open up 30 new programs across the state of Iowa. Sudents in the program explore careers, colleges, trade schools, life skills, goal-setting and volunteerism. / Photo submitted
