Proclamation from the City of Alta from the Office of the Mayor: “Trick or Treat Night”
Whereas, traditionally, children of all ages have observed Halloween in the City of Alta by participating in “Trick or Treat Night,” and
Whereas, many parents have requested that the City officially set aside a specific date and time for all the little witches, goblins, and space creatures to trick or treat in our community; and
Whereas, because COVID-19 is still prevalent in our Community, it is the parent’s decision if they would like their family to participate in Trick or Treat Night, with or without wearing a specific COVID-19 mask; and
Whereas, if the porch light is turned off, this indicates that Trick or Treaters are not welcomed at that location; and
Additionally, the City of Alta is not requiring homeowners who are handing out candy to wear a COVID-19 mask. It is the homeowner’s decision if they would like to wear a COVID-19 mask or not.
Now Therefore; I, Kevin Walsh, Mayor of the City of Alta, do hereby proclaim Saturday, October 31, 2020, as the official TRICK OR TREAT NIGHT in the City of Alta beginning at 5:00 p.m. and continuing until 7:30 p.m., and urge all of our citizens to participate in helping to make this a safe and enjoyable occasion for everyone.
