The Olive Branch store celebrates 10 years of community service

Friday, November 8, 2019

Since November of 2009, The Olive Branch community store at 111 South Main Street in downtown Alta has provided a way for area residents to find inexpensive clothing, toys, and household items. Most items are priced around $1. Operated by volunteers from Summit Church, the goal of the store is to meet the practical needs of people, enabling neighbors to help one another as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.

An open house at the store will be held Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with coffee and cookies provided. On Sunday, November 10, Summit will celebrate the 10 Year Anniversary of the store during 8:30 and 11 Worship Celebrations at the church. Area residents are encouraged to come and check out the store during the Open House or during regular hours (Wednesdays and Fridays 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. , Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., along with selected Mondays 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.). Donations for the store are accepted during store hours.
