No answer yet on new Alta City Code Officer

Friday, November 1, 2019

In the last Alta City Council meeting, the City of Alta fired the Code Enforcement Officer, Matt Hess. It was decided by the board to run an advertisement in the local paper declaring the position as open. However, sources say the board is waiting to run the ad until they can decide whether or not the position will be full-time or part-time.

Both Alta Mayor, Al Clark and councilman, Kevin Walsh, were contacted for more information concerning the new position. Walsh responded,

“Unfortunately those are questions I wouldn’t have an answer for at this time,” said Walsh. “Those discussions need to take place at our next meeting.”

The next Alta City Council meeting is scheduled for November 4 and will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall.
