SLHS presents ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’

Friday, October 25, 2019

Storm Lake High School will stage “Cheaper by the Dozen” at the high school auditorium, Nov. 8 and 9 7 p.m.

Based on the real-life family of Frank and Lillian Gilbreth, Cheaper by the Dozen is a classic dramatic comedy about a family of 14.  The story is largely based around their inventor father, who is well-known for bringing better efficiency to factories and keeping his family of 12 children running just as efficiently. This play is told from the point of view of two of his children reflecting on the last few months before his death. He was preparing the family for his imminent departure, but most of his children, like most of the young children in the audience, were unaware of the fact. Don’t miss out on this extremely funny, heart-warming, and family-friendly tale directed by Sara Carlson.
