Alta Kiwanis News and Notes
Tuesday’s speaker was Corbett Butler, Alta-Aurelia H.S. Band Director. Between 115-125 students are involved in band and chorus this year. Mr. Butler talked about the upcoming band trip to Chicago in March. three days and three nights will be filled with sight-seeing, a performance by their jazz band at the Museum of Science and Technology, attending a performance of Mama Mia, and the Blue Man Group.
On the high school level, interest in a marching band by H.S. students is growing. Other upcoming events include a Christmas concert by H.S Nov. 17th, Participation in Veteran’s Day Program by both band and chorus Nov. 13., and finally the recent presentation of the play “Wizard of Oz at which 95 school kids took part.
Kiwanis business: Nov. 16--- pop can collection.
Nov. 20-- We are having a meeting Tuesday. Randy Erickson is the scheduled spesker.

School library asked if our club would be interested in decorating a Christmas tree. Competition begins Nov. 26 and ends Dec. 1. Members of our club are meeting Nov. 26 10:30am
