Storm Lake Police seek help to find missing woman

The Storm Lake Police Department is asking the community’s assistance in locating a missing woman.

Thoeuy Leanna Kim, age 48, walked away from a residence in the 100 block of Irving Street at approximately 5:50 p.m. yesterday and did not return. Family members told police that Kim has a history of similar actions when she lived in California. She has only resided in Storm Lake for a few weeks.

Kim did not take any personal property when she left the home and had no known access to a vehicle.

She was last seen wearing a black and blue striped beanie, black sweatpants, gray or black hoodie and a black sweater. She is described as being 5’1” tall weighing approximately 112 pounds. Kim is fluent in English and is described as very outgoing.

She was last seen near the intersection of East 1st Street and Irving Street.

Storm Lake police and firefighters searched the area for Kim into the early morning hours Monday with no evidence of the woman found.
