VT Industries buys Wisconsin company
VT Industries Inc. has acquired Eggers Industries, a national door and millwork manufacturer based in Wisconsin. The acquisition combines the two industry leaders in architectural wood door businesses to offer greater appeal and value to the customers of both companies, according to VT management.
“I’m very excited about the combined strength of our companies, and how our enhanced resources position us to drive product innovation, market expansion, and profitable growth,” states Doug Clausen, President and CEO of VT Industries.
Founded in 1884 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, Eggers Industries began manufacturing farm baskets. Today, the Eggers brand is known and respected for its robust portfolio of premium architectural door products, wood paneling, custom conference tabletops, and veneer-wrapped components.
The acquisition is a natural fit, leaders of the local family-owned company say.
“Eggers’ high-quality products, strong reputation in the market, and manufacturing capabilities fit well with our strategy to expand our product portfolio and deliver a great customer experience,” explains Jason Farver, Chief Operating Officer of VT Industries.
Former Eggers Industries owner Jay Streu adds, “We believe the acquisition is a positive move for our customers and the door industry as a whole.”
Since 2007, VT Industries has completed three acquisitions with the distinct goals of securing long-term, sustainable growth as a company, assuring future growth of distribution partners within the door industry, and extending greater value to customers throughout North America. VT now has 14 facilities in the U.S. and Canada.
