STORM LAKE - The Tornado and Warriors girls’ golf teams went head to head on Tuesday night. However, Storm Lake was unable to field a team score with only three girls playing, and A-A scored 197 as a team.

Warrior Annika Patton shot a three over par, 39, for the medalist spot. Her bright spot came on the par three sixth hole where she was able to sink a birdie, the lone one on the day. A-A’s Erin Lockin took the runner-up spot with a score of 47. Laney Stanton carded a 55, Sydney Stanton 57, Ellie Kaskey 58 and Morgan Wilson 65.

Storm Lake was led by Haley Redenbaugh’s 53. Chloe Grafft was right behind her with a 54, and Lena Soumetho put in a 70.

“The girls drove the ball really well, and their short game is getting better every day. Haley Redenbaugh and Chloe Grafft had great rounds,” SL Coach Will Swanson said.

The Storm Lake girls played host to LeMars and Western Christian on Thursday night. They will then host an invitational on Saturday at Lake Creek. Alta-Aurelia will be off until Monday when they head to Ida Grove for a sectional meet.
