As part of their research for a National History Day project on racism in Iowa, Addisyn Fuchs, Aiden Cady and Kurtis Wood, 6th graders at Albert City - Truesdale Elementary, visited the Buena Vista County Historical Society.

The students were assisted by Marlene Hansen in finding information about the Ku Klux Klan in Buena Vista County and Northwest Iowa during the 1920s and 30s.

They also enjoyed a tour of the museumís display of artifacts collected from around the county, especially learning what a town like Storm Lake would have looked like in the past.
