Area students complete January Interim Internships

Local students from Buena Vista University (BVU) recently completed an internship during January Interim.

BVU had over 80 students participating in the three-week internship program across the country.

“Interns can be a supportive asset to any company looking for additional help within their workforce,” said Kristi Davis, assistant director of career and personal development and internship coordinator at BVU. “They provide new insight and can assist with completing larger projects.”

Area students included:

• Allie Hartman, a junior corporate communication major from Storm Lake, who interned at Buena Vista University Event Services in Storm Lake.

• Ana Neri, a junior criminology and criminal justice major from Storm Lake, who interned at Southwest Iowa Family Access Center in Spencer.

• Benita Kamikazi, a senior business major from Kigali, who interned at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm lake.

• Dong Wang, a senior chemistry major from Nemaha, who interned at Mangold Environmental Testing Laboratory in Storm Lake.

• Katelyn Brincks, a junior accounting major from Alta, who interned at Olsen, Muhlbauer & Co in Carroll.

• Nyajuok Lam, a junior communication studies major from Storm Lake, who interned at Seasons Center in Storm Lake.

• Rachael Tice, a senior biology major from Storm Lake, who interned at Hope Ministries in Elk Point.

• Tanner Hoops, a senior digital media comm track major from Storm Lake, who interned at BVU Sports Information Office in Storm Lake.

• Tawney Schreier, a senior strategic public relations major from Storm Lake, who interned at University Marketing and Communication in Storm Lake.
