K9 DOGS- Iowa Central Community College Criminal Justice students had a special visit from two Iowa Department of Corrections K9 officers to learn how highly trained patrol dogs are used in Iowa correctional facilities to find illegal substances and help maintain order. The students also had the opportunity to watch an outdoor demonstration of the patrol dogs ability to apprehend and control a suspect - great real life learning.
