Fashion students to receive one-on-one mentoring

Fashion Design students from Western Iowa Tech will be receiving some one-on-one mentoring from fashion and merchandising experts in Sioux City. Twenty students enrolled in the Fashion Design Pathway they visited Boutique 20 on Tuesday, September 12th and today, September 13th.

Boutique 20 is a high-fashion, clothing and gift boutique located at 5700 Sunnybrook Drive, in Sioux City.

On Thursday, September 14 at North High School, Niki Buss, General Manager of the Buckle at Southern Hills Mall, will give the students a lecture on corporate retail and fashion design.

Friday, September 15 at North High School Josie Brownmiller, a student from the Fashion Design program from ISU is going to speak to the students about the program and the annual fashion show.

These activities are part of a grant partnership with Western Iowa Tech and the Statewide Work Based Learning Intermediary Network grant, which prepares students for the workforce by offering relevant, work-based learning activities.
