Kerisa Pingel, Educator at the Sanford Museum, discussed artifacts and recreations of artifacts that give clues as to how the prehistoric people of this area lived.

She also showed kids at the July 6 session of the museumís Summer Camp, a model of the oval dwelling used by the Mill Creek people.

These were permanent dwellings rather than the portable tipis used by more nomadic cultures of the Great Plains.
