Jacob Meyers graduates from Dordt College

Jacob Meyers of Linn Grove was among the 355 graduates of Dordt College who received diplomas at the 2017 commencement ceremony in May.

Meyers graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Agriculture with an emphasis in Agriculture-Business. He also has a minor in Economics.

This year, 309 graduates earned baccalaureate degrees, 15 earned associates, and 31 earned a master’s of education. The baccalaureate degrees presented included bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of science in engineering, bachelor of science in nursing, and bachelor of social work degrees.

Dordt College Theology Professor Mark Verbruggen gave the commencement address.

“The Power of One.” He encouraged the graduates to be God’s light in the world, working to further his kingdom in all they do.

Dordt College offers a comprehensive Christian education rooted in the Reformed tradition.

Dordt College is located in Sioux Center, Iowa, and is home to about 1,500 students.
