Northwestern announces 2017 Deanís List

Mallory Bjork, Emma Meyers and Bailey Van Ginkel, students at Northwestern College in Orange City, have earned spots on the Academic Deanís List for the spring 2017 semester.

The Deanís List is comprised of students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours.

This semester, 387 students qualified for the Deanís List. Students who earned a GPA of 3.75 or higher are considered Collegiate Scholars, designated with an asterisk. Of the 229 Collegiate Scholars, 63 of them maintained a perfect 4.0 average and are recognized with a pound sign.

Bjork is a senior and English teaching major at Northwestern College. She is the daughter of Chad and Julie Bjork of Albert City.

Meyers is a junior and business administration/management major at Northwestern College. She is the daughter of Stephen and Wendy Meyers of Linn Grove.

Van Ginkel is a senior and special needs studies major at Northwestern College. She is the daughter of Heidi McGuire of Orange City and is a 2014 graduate of Sioux Central Community High School.

Northwestern College is a Christian college of more than 1,250 students in Orange City.
