Local Northwestern College student studying overseas

Mallory Bjork, a student at Northwestern College in Orange City, is studying overseas this semester.

Applicants for semester-long study abroad programs must pass Northwestern’s writing requirement, demonstrate they would benefit from the experience, have a strong academic record and be a good representative of Northwestern’s Christian liberal arts mission.

This semester, 14 students are studying in countries such as the Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman and Spain. The placements are made with the aid of Northwestern’s Global Education Center.

Bjork is a junior and is majoring in English teaching at Northwestern College. She is studying in Oman this semester. Bjork is the daughter of Chad and Julie Bjork of Albert City.
