Storm Lake St. Mary’s School held their annual Family Christmas Dinner Thursday afternoon.

The entire preK-12 student body, faculty and staff ate a holiday turkey and mashed potatoes meal.

The high school and middle school students were teamed up with younger students, creating family groups, helping the young students with their lunch trays and eating together.

Sitting in “families” is a highlight of the annual all school meal. Avery Smith, Sam Sennert, Aidan Cavazos, Zack Brown, Elly Richardson and Danika Demers enjoyed dining together. Photo submitted.

Students were asked to dress up for the occasion. The eighth grade class was in charge of planning the event, setting up and cleaning up and also provided a skit.

The SOS Thrift Store volunteers were special guests, honored for their volunteer efforts.

Santa Claus arrived in the gym to hand out candy canes and surprise the students.
