Dorothy L. Miller, age 91, of Storm Lake, died Tuesday, March 24, at her home in Storm Lake.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 28, at 1:30 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial followed in the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. Visitation took place Friday, March 27, from 6-8 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Dorothy Lillian Ford was born November 14, 1923 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Victor and Noelie (Battard) Ford.

She attended school and graduated in New Orleans.

On July 15, 1946, Dorothy was united in marriage to Charles L. Miller in New Orleans. Together they were blessed with five children: Virgil, Carolyn "Kay", Tom, Rick, and Doug.

Dorothy was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake for many years.

Family was always very important her. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and always looked forward to holiday gatherings. Dorothy enjoyed making trips to the casino and also liked to watch the Hawkeyes and Cyclones on television. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Virgil (Phyllis) Miller of Storm Lake; Kay (Gary) Oehler of Lakeside; Tom (Nancy) Miller of Storm Lake; Rick (Deb) Miller of Storm Lake; Doug (Tracy) Miller of Newell; grandchildren: Tammy (Kevin) Turner, Brian (Carrie) Miller, Sheri (Brandon) Ripke, Mike (Brooke) Miller, Pam (Antonio) O'Brien, Jennifer (Brent) Jones, Richard (Martha) O'Brien, Gavin Oehler, Terry (Zouska) Oehler, Tammy (Eric Scott) Oehler; Melissa (Jason Nagle) Miller, T.J. (Nicole McKay) Miller, Tony Miller, Chris (Connie) Miller, Gregory Miller, Samantha Miller, Amanda Miller, Alexis Miller; great grandchildren: Trace and Trevor Turner; Sheyanne and Shelby Hill; Taylor, Mady, and Jaxon Ripke; Michael John Miller and Cohen Hohbach; Trey, Teondra, Trenton, and Teia O'Brien; Dallas, Jordan, and Kaitlyn Jones; Maddison, Kennady, and Whitney Cooper; Dominique and Hunter Oehler; Jonathon, Kaylie and Emma Oehler; Alexis Jayde Miller; Jadon and Jaclyn Miller; great-great grandchildren, Noellie O'Brien and Madeline Jones; sister, Helen Ford of New Orleans, Louisiana; extended family and many friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; brothers, Eugene "Whitey" and Lloyd "Bingo"; and sister, Joyce Patterson.
