Sioux Central girls win fourth straight

Bailey McGuire had five points and four assists as the Rebels won their 13th game of the year.
SIOUX RAPIDS - The Sioux Central girls notched their fourth straight victory, and 13th overall, Thursday night as they gradually put South O'Brien behind them in a 46-36 final.

The Rebels led by just one at halftime, 21-20, before opening up a little bit of breathing room after three, 30-23.

Becca Herwig led the way for Sioux Central, connecting on 6-of-7 attempts for 14 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals. Hallie Ehlers hit 4-of-8, including 3-of-5 from three to post 14 points as well. Nicole Hamilton had six points, four rebounds and three steals, Bailey McGuire had five points and three assists, and Erin Rachuy had three points and four assists.

Sioux Central moves to 13-6 with the win. They close out the regular season at Newell-Fonda Tuesday night and open regional play at home against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Saturday.
