Rebels down St. Mary's to win their third straight

SIOUX RAPIDS - The Sioux Central girls notched their third-straight win Tuesday night as they blanked St. Mary's for the entire first half of a 60-10 rout at home.

Hallie Ehlers continued her recent scoring surge with 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and seven steals to lead the Rebels. Bailey McGuire notched 11 points six assists and five steals, Taylor Fahnlander had 10 points and six steals, and Nicole Hamilton was the fourth Rebel in double figures with 10 points and two steals.

The Rebels had a strong shooting night, knocking down 25-of-55 from the floor, 4-of-1 from three and 6-of-9 at the line. Defensively, they totaled 23 steals on the night, improving to 12-6 on the season. The Rebels led 48-0 at halftime.

Trisha Lenhart led the Panthers (4-15) with four points.

St. Mary's hosts Laurens-Marathon Friday before closing with Alta-Aurelia on Tuesday. Sioux Central hosts South O'Brien Thursday, Newell-Fonda Tuesday and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn next Saturday.
