The Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education is accepting applications for $2,000 scholarships awarded to students interested in careers in the automobile industry.
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be committed to the pursuit of a career in an automobile dealership. Potential career paths include working as a technician, salesperson, accountant, marketing specialist or in business administration.
"Iowa's auto industry provides many well-paying jobs in a variety of areas of expertise," said Mary Cason, Executive Vice President for the Foundation. "The Foundation scholarships help make the dreams of higher education a reality for the next generation of dealership employees."
Recipients of the scholarship will be announced in May 2013. Applications can be downloaded from iada.com and are due March 1 by 5 p.m. The IAD Foundation for Education is a non-profit entity established in 1995 by the IADA. The foundation's mission is to support education, research and charitable activities that positively impact the automobile industry. Since 1998, more than 200 scholarships have been awarded to Iowa students.
