Farm Credit Services of America retail office recently contributed $1,000 in financial support to the Alta FFA Chapter for their tractor restoration program. The donation will be used by the local chapter to purchase tools such as a sand blaster, power washer, drill press, drill set, and others which were badly needed in the shop. The Tractor Restoration project is housed in the old school building and most of the tools for the Industrial Arts program were moved to the new building in the fall of 2010. The funds will be used to get some of the needed items which have been mostly borrowed from local farmers up to this point.

Farm Credit Services of America made the donation as part of the companies Community Involvement initiative with emphasis on agricultural education. The Storm Lake office serves area farmers in NW Iowa including Buena Vista, Calhoun, Cherokee, Ida, Pocahontas, and Sac counties.
