Alta Kiwanis Notes

The Alta Kiwanis met Tuesday, Jan. 29 at Wel-Life.

There was no guest speaker.

The first item talked about was the upcoming pancake fundraiser scheduled for Sunday, March 10 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

This is an annual event involving Kiwanis members and the fifth grade P.I.E. partners. A signup sheet for working various jobs was sent around. Discussion was held on having a silent auction on the same day. More will be discussed at next week's meeting.

A request for a donation to Children's Miracle Network was tabled until next week.

Other business:

* Jan. 31 - Alta Kiwanis invited by Aurelia Kiwanis to a dinner meeting featuring Alta-Aurelia jazz band at noon.

* Feb. 14 - Kiwanis members and spouses Valentine's Dinner at the Hoodlebug.

* Feb. 15 - pop can collection.

* Feb. 21 - Kiwanis serving pancakes to A-A high school and elementary students.

* March 23 - Easter Egg Hunt at Wel-life.
