Mock Trial is a program designed to introduce students to our legal system by providing a challenging, academic competition. The program offers students an opportunity for personal growth and achievement, emphasizing the importance of research, presentation and teamwork. The students were given a case between a hotel with bed bugs and a news reporter and then had to do write opening statements, questions and closing statements for both the plaintiff and defendant. Many hours of memorization and practice go into the final production. Nick Brown served as the attorney coach for the team with Priscilla Robinson as the staff person in charge of the students.

The students involved in Mock Trial were: (in no particular order; above are sixth and seventh graders, below are eighth graders) Nyakim Tut, Grant Gasner, Chloe Lalone, Ethan Courter, Kevin Duque, Jon Raymundo, Kayla Joyner, Amber Chrischilles, Juan Espino, Julie Stark, Eve Thomas, Jessica Baker, Samantha Lalone, Ethan James, Molly Gallagher, Lucas Nicholson, Kale Shannon, Danielle Reyes, Kevin Thayer, Cody Baker, Chong Xiong, Cassidy Manisay, Thomas Olson, Julie Patrick, Juawan Thomas and Wendy Leyva.
