The big day is nearly here - to begin working toward your goals to get healthy and fit with Live Healthy Iowa's 10 Week Wellness Challenge!

The Challenge kicks off in four short days on Monday, Jan. 28.

Register your team now to join nearly 18,000 Iowans, and counting, as you motivate and encourage each other to make healthy, active choices with a wealth of resources (and prizes!) provided by Live Healthy Iowa.

The $5 off Hy-Vee coupon is still available at your local Hy-Vee or hyvee.com, but it's going fast, so sign up now to take advantage of this great offer.

Teams of two to 10 Iowans compete in a web-based competition tracking weight loss and/or activity minutes for 10 weeks.

For $20, each participant will receive a T-shirt (new color for 2013); weekly motivational emails; personal online tracking page; unlimited access to recipes, workouts and health information on the Live Healthy Iowa website; opportunity to win team incentives and individual prizes and one-year magazine subscriptions.

Start by building your team of two to 10 people, choose a team name and designate a captain.

Gather the name, email address, t-shirt size and payment of each team member.

Next, sign up! Go to livehealthyiowa.org and click on 'Join Today'.

Single teams click 'submit' under 'start a team.' Corporate, community or organization teams will enter their group ID.

Finally, complete the registration fields and submit your online payment.

Live Healthy Iowa Healthy Iowa Challenges and Events will be held throughout the year, including Strut Your Pup (April 22-May 31), Burst Your Thirst (June 17-July 26), The Next Step (Sept. 9-Oct. 18) and Healthy Families (Sept. 23-Nov. 1).

Special events will be held just for kids, including the 10-Week Wellness Challenge (Jan. 28-April 5), Go the Distance Day (May 3) and Fall Fitness Day (Oct. 2).
