Chargers roughed up by Pocahontas Area

POCAHONTAS - The Laurens-Marathon girls were held to seven points through three quarters of play Friday night as they suffered a 53-19 loss at the hands of Pocahontas Area.

The Chargers finished a woeful 3-of-40 from the floor shooting, including 0-of-8 from three points range. They were able to knock down 13-of-18 at the foul line however.

Caitlin Rohrbauch led the way with six points and three rebounds. Lauren Link had four points and four rebounds, Brooke Runneberg four points and six rebounds, Briley Sullivan three points and 10 rebounds and Tiffani Reese two points.

Hanna Stafford netted 13 points and 10 rebounds for Poky.

The Chargers fall to 2-13 with the loss. They travel to Newell-Fonda tonight.
