Edward B. Kacmarynski, 94, of of Papillion, Neb., formerly of Rembrandt and Storm Lake, died Jan. 15, 2013.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 10:30 a.m. St. Columbkille Church in Papillion, Neb. Interment will be held at 3:30 p.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery, Storm Lake. Memorials requested to the Midlands Chapter -- Alzheimer's Association or the Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

The Bethany Funeral Home of LaVista, Neb. is in charge of the arrangements.

Edward was born Oct. 15, 1918 in Rembrandt and lived in Storm Lake for 56 years before moving to Papillion, Neb. in 2002.

In his early years, Ed owned and operated a Radio and TV shop.

He enjoyed playing cards and fishing. Later in life, he remodeled many homes and rented them out in Storm Lake.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Ruth; his parents; and eight siblings.

Ed is survived by his children Joe (Kathy) Kacmarynski; Barbara (Dean) Heine; David "Jim" (Ellen) Kacmarynski; Virginia (Bob) Elston; Kathy (Mike) Pohl; Tom Kacmarynski; grandchildren Tim, Tammy, Jason, Kevin, Peter, Brian, Chris, Dan, Jeff, Mark, Eric; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
