Richard F. Lehigh, 80, of Humboldt, formerly of Council Bluffs, passed away Jan. 8, 2013 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Memorial services were 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11 at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Adams American Legion Post 119 and Sathers-Odgaard VFW Post 5240 provided military rites.

Richard Fay Lehigh, the son of Earl and Rachel (Baker) Lehigh, was born Dec. 16, 1932 at Graettinger. For several years, Richard served as the Hospital Administrator in Owatonna, Minn. before his retirement. He and Sherry made their home at Council Bluffs before moving to Humboldt in 2009.

Dick was a veteran of the Korean War. He loved the outdoors, especially yard work, and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. Above all, he was very proud and supportive of his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry of Humboldt; sons, Tim of Humboldt, Todd (Jody) of Omaha, Neb.; and Troy (James) of Daly City, Calif.; his daughter, Terry Lehigh of Humboldt; grandchildren, Maren, Kate, and Kayla Lehigh; and brothers, Earl Lehigh, Jr. of Longmont, Colo., and George Lehigh of Texarkana. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don Lehigh; and sister, Connie Richardson.
