EVERLY - Tyler Stumbo turned in 16, Ben Fuchs 13 and Chase Oehlertz 10 as the Laurens-Marathon boy's basketball team made quick work of Clay Central-Everly Tuesday, 72-27.
The Chargers shot 43% from the field, knocking down 26-of-61 from the floor, including 9-of-26 from three point range.
Stumbo hit 5-of-15 for his game-high effort and added two rebounds and five assists. Fuchs was 5-of-10 from the floor and added four assists, Oehlertz was 3-of-5 from three and added seven rebounds, Seth Hersom had nine points and 13 rebounds, Riley Maschino had nine points off three, three-pointers, Keegan Jamison had six points and four assists, and Will Cleveland added five points.
Ball movement was at a premium for Laurens-Marathon with 17 assists on 26 made baskets.
The Chargers improve to 5-5 on the year with the win and will host Manson Northwest Webster Friday night.
