Dinner theater benefits Good Samaritan Center

Friday, January 11, 2013

The Good Samaritan Society, Newell, hosts an annual dinner theater event Feb. 10, to help raise funds for a remodeling of the center's resident rooms. The newly-remodeled rooms will feature a more private atmosphere for residents, including private baths, towel warmers and updated modern decor.

Students from Newell-Fonda High School will perform in the Dinner Theater, featuring many of their routines from speech competition this year. The event will take place at Nain Luthern Church, 441 W. Jensen St. in Newell. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Dinner begins at 5 p.m. with a menu of chicken coron blue, roasted asparagus with parmesan, garlic mashed potatoes, caesar salad and cheesecake. The performance begins at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $25 each or two for $45. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. Purchase tickets in advance by calling the good Samaritan Society at 712-272-3327 or at the door the evening of the dinner theater.
