Warriors drop fourth straight with loss to Southeast Webster

BURNSIDE - The Alta-Aurelia girl's basketball team dropped their fourth in a row Friday, falling to 2-9 on the season with a 51-28 loss at Southeast Webster-Grand.

The first game back from break saw the Warriors struggle to find the bottom of the net as they finished with a shooting line of 10-for-49.

The Alta-Aurelia girls trailed 13-6 after one and 31-10 at half. They played within two points of the hosts in the second half, highlighted by an 11 point fourth quarter.

Katie Turnquist led the Warriors with six points and two rebounds. Val Hernandez had five points, Micah Barnes had four and three rebounds, Steph Robbins had four and two steals, and Taler Stanton had two and six rebounds.

Alta-Aurelia will look to break back into the win column tonight as they visit Storm Lake, St. Mary's.
