Raptors top MVAO, fall to #10 Woodbury Central

MAPLETON - The Ridge View wrestling team returned to action Thursday night at Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto as they topped the hosts by a final of 45-33 and suffered a 52-12 setback to 10th-ranked Woodbury Central.

Against MVAO, Kelby Wunschel lost 10-3 to Kyle Drees at 106, Zach Kenny lost by fall in 0:47 to Adam Uhl at 113, Peyton Boyle won 6-2 over Charlie Spatz at 126, Tristin Stibbens won by fall over Devon Lewis in 1:147 at 138, Jason Kenny won by forfeit at 145, Tylar Hansen lost by fall in 1:46 to Isaac Jensen at 152, Dru Kenny won by fall in 0:58 over Jerico Trucke at 160, Tyler Pickhinke won over Darrian Webber in 5:00 at 170, Kyle Schiernbeck lost by fall in 1:37 at 182, Henry Sippel won by fall in 3:21 over Derik Via at 195, Michael Davidson won by forfeit at 220 and Nathan Myrice won by fall in 2:39 over Cole Jensen at 285.

Against Woodbury Central, Wunschel lost by fall in 1:30, Zach Kenny lost 8-2, Boyle lost 10-7, Stibbens lost 16-5, Jason Kenny fell 9-6 to Luke Klingensmith, Hansen won by fall in 6:30, Dru Kenny lost by fall in 5:00, Pickhinke won by fall in 1:49, Schiernbeck lost by fall in 3:13, Sippel lost 8-2, #4 Davidson lost to #7 Levi Paulsen 3-1 and Myrice lost 9-2 to #6 Landen Paulsen.

The Raptors sit at 8-4 in dual action on the year. Jason Kenny leads the way with a 20-5 record. Davidson is 19-5, Luke Kliegl is 15-2, Myrcie is 15-6, Sippel 15-9, Dru Kenny 15-8, and Hansen 14-8.

Ridge View will be at the Alta-Aurelia Invitational today with matches starting at 10AM.
