The sixth annual "No Hungry Neighbors" Food Drive, sponsored by the Alta Municipal Utilities and the City of Alta, was another success, surpassing its goal of collecting 3,200 pounds of food. This year, a total of 4,557 pounds of food was gathered and was taken to Lord's Cupboard for distribution.

Not only did many community members get involved in the project, but students at most levels took part as well. At left and below are students from the Alta Elementary with their collection of food. The middle school and elementary students at the Aurelia building also took part. The A-A high school students collected and donated 600 pounds of food.

The holiday project not only helps those in the community who are going through hardships but serves as a great learning project for students.
