Joan Mohr, RN has joined the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center's Nursing Scholarship Committee. Mohr has been a nurse at BVRMC since 1979 and currently works in the Oncology Department. She also farms with her husband, Ken, in the Fonda area.

"We are pleased that Joan has joined the scholarship committee. She replaces Noni Baak, formerly of Newell, who recently moved from the area. Noni had many years of history as a nurse at this hospital and was a founding member of the committee. Joan will also bring her experience and knowledge of nursing to help continue the success of the scholarship program," states Brad Strader, Executive Director of the Foundation at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center.

Since its inception in 2003, the BVRMC scholarship program has provided sixty-eight $1000 scholarships to area nursing students funded entirely from donations. Scholarship applications will again be accepted starting Feb. 1 for the 2013-2014 academic year.
