St. Mary's girls edge Eagles, 43-38
STORM LAKE - The St. Mary's girl's basketball team snapped out of a two-game skid Friday night as they got 17 points from Jasmine Demers and 10 from Mackenzie Laven their way to a 43-38 victory at home over Southeast Webster-Grand.
The Panthers trailed 10-8 after one but would claim a 17-15 lead at half and hold SEW at bay for the second half to pick up their third victory of the season.
Trisha Lenhart added six points for St. Mary's, Emily Ivey had four, Rachel Todd three, Riley Lenhart two and Annie Flynn one.
The Panthers (3-4) return to action tonight at Laurens-Marathon (1-7).
