Artists invited to apply for spot in the next Artisans Road Trip

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Artisans from Buena Vista, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmett, Ida, O'Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Woodbury, Pocahontas, Sac and Sioux Counties are invited to apply for a spot in the 2013 Artisans Road Trip which is set for Oct. 5-6. Those artisans who live outside of these counties are also welcome to participate if they arrange to show their work within participating county lines (perhaps with another artist).

Call to Entry forms are available and must be postmarked by Jan. 12. Qualifying entrants will be notified via email or by mail on Feb. 5.

The Artisans Road Trip (A.R.T.) showcases NW Iowa Artisans who are currently producing and exhibiting high quality original works. This open studio tour offers artists a unique opportunity to show a body of work in their studio environment.

Call to Entry forms may be requested online at www.artisansroadtrip.com or selected art galleries near you. All past A.R.T. participants will automatically receive an application.

Each potential entrant should plan to provide three professional level photos of their work to be used for the jurying process and for future advertising purposes. Quality digital images can be presented on CD by using a 300 dpi JPEG format, 8" or 2400 pixels in width.

The $150 entry fee will buy advertising space in the Artisans Road Trip Directory, an artist profile on the www.artisansroadtrip.com website, and all related promotional efforts.

The Artisans Road Trip is an event planned, coordinated and created by "artists helping artists."
