December is Caring Month at SL Elementary

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Students of Storm Lake Elementary School held their second Character Counts assembly the end of November. Special recognition was given to all students who had demonstrated RESPONSIBILITY during the month of November. A random drawing of all those students was held, with three students in each grade level being selected to receive a "Character Counts in My World" backpack. CARING was introduced as the December pillar. Brenda McVinua was the guest speaker, giving a powerful message on CARING along with her personal story. Above, the gym was bursting with red stars and red clothing for the CARING assembly.
