Braden Studelska named Volunteer of the Week

Monday, December 10, 2012

STORM LAKE - Braden Studelska, who served this fall as a volunteer assistant coach for the Buena Vista men's soccer team, has been named Volunteer of the Week by BVU's Student M.O.V.E. (Mobilizing Outreach and Volunteer Efforts) campus organization.

Studelska is currently serving as a science teacher at Kuemper Catholic High School in Carroll, Iowa, and is also the head boys soccer coach.

He was a four-year member and captain of the Buena Vista men's soccer team and graduated in 2008.

"We were really fortunate to have Braden help us this fall," said BVU head men's soccer coach Marc Baumbach. "His commitment level was outstanding and his contributions were fantastic. I know that everyone in our program really appreciated the work he put in."

"I think not only could he be Volunteer of the Week, but Volunteer of the Year at BVU," said senior captain Tyler Huntsman. "As a captain, I know all of the guys really enjoyed having him around and appreciated his time and efforts."

Student M.O.V.E. is recognizing an individual on campus for 'Volunteer of the Week' every other week.
