Warrior girls drop third straight

ALTA - The Alta-Aurelia girls registered their best offensive performance of the season, but the end result was the same as the Warriors fell to East Sac at home Saturday, 57-43.

The Raiders were able to keep Alta-Aurelia at an arm's length all night with leads of 20-13 after one, 29-19 at half, and 45-29 after the third.

Cristena Heschke led the Warriors in the loss with 14 points on a 6-of-6 shooting night. Jenna Snyder had six points, Val Hernandez had five points, five rebounds and four assists, Katie Turnquist had five points and three rebounds, Taler Stanton had five points and Tayler Rohwer had four points and five rebounds.

Alta-Aurelia hit on 16-of-46 from the field, 1-of-1 from three and 10-of-23 at the foul line.

The Warriors will be at Sioux Central tonight and at Poky Friday.
