"Believe in the magic of Storm Lake" and make plans to attend this year's lighted holiday parade, Miracle on Lake Avenue, on Thursday, Dec. 6 in Storm Lake.
This year's activities kick off at 5 p.m. with a Business After Hours at MetaBank from 5 to 6 p.m. A balloon show with Special K'z the Clown will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. on the second floor of the Masonic Lodge. There will be live music with Mick Polich and wine tasting at The Daily Apple from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Santa's Secret Workshop opens at 5:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Masonic Lodge and will remain open until 8 p.m. Santa's Castle will be open from 6 to 8 p.m.
The lighted holiday parade starts at 6 p.m. on Lake Avenue. The annual tree lighting ceremony will take place immediately following the parade on the Buena Vista County Courthouse lawn.
K&C Kettle Corn will be popping fresh kettle corn and spinning fresh cotton candy to purchase. They will be located in front of Central Bank on Lake Avenue.
There will be warming stations along Lake Avenue to keep you warm from 5 to 8 p.m., some of which will also have children's activities. This year's warming stations for the evening will be located at Sugar Bowl, Osweiler's, Kristi's Kandies, Paxton's Jewelry, Rust's Western Shed, Citizen's First National Bank, Berg Jewelry, Hoffman's Flower & Candle Shop, BV Stationery. The children's activities will be held at Paxton's Jewelry and Hoffman's Flower & Candle Shop.
