Watters, Nieland marry Oct. 20

Crystal Watters, formerly of Maquoketa and now from Newell, and Aron Nieland, Newell, exchanged wedding vows Oct. 20 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa.

Parents of the couple are Brian and Karen Watters, Maquoketa and Bruce and Robin Nieland, Newell.

Maid of Honor was Darcie James, Maquoketa, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ashley Marshall, Maquoketa, sister of the bride; Kelly Hoefelmeyer, Andrew, sister of the bride; Nicole Gruhn, Sabula, cousin of the bride and Janine Comstock,Chariton, friend of the bride.

Best Man was Adam Nieland, Newell, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Josh Erie, Fonda, friend of the groom; Jamie Erie, Ankeny, friend of the groom; Chad Buchholz, Newell, friend of the groom; and Christopher Watters, Maquoketa, brother of the bride.

Flower girl was Alexis Barber, Newell, niece of the groom and ringbearer was Keaton Hoefelmeyer, Andrew, nephew of the bride.

Mini bride was Maya Hoefelmeyer, Andrew, niece of the bride and mini groom was Austin Barber, Newell, nephew of groom.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of Iowa State University in May 2010 with Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Education and a minor in Animal Science. She is now employed at Newell-Fonda Community School as the high school Agriculture Instructor and FFA Advisor.

The groom graduated from Iowa Central Community College with an Associate's Degree. He is employed as an area manager for The Maschhoffs.
